Beyond the Job, by E14 Fund is a program only for teams with key contributors from MIT, some spinning straight out of MIT, others with founders who left MIT decades ago.

Fellowship Investment: Fellowship investments are typically $50k to $100k on the most founder-friendly terms (typically as no-cap / no-discount SAFEs no-cap). They are aimed to give founders some breathing room before they go out and raise a larger round. There is no fixed schedule, milestones or program. Instead, we work with E14 Fellowship companies on an individual basis to help them be ready for a bigger check from E14 if and when it makes sense for the company, whether that’s weeks or months later.
Core Investment: Typically made at your first institutional round with a first check of around n $500k and $2M. The goal is to have a meaningful partnership and help through the various stages of the companies. Expected equity dilution for the core investment is 10-20%. Additional funds are also set aside to continue supporting your startup in future rounds.
